What a journey! What a match! This is definitely the man who elevates tennis to an art! Roger Federer has won his 20th Grand Slam trophy today, in the 2018 Australian Open Men Singles Final. Congratulations are in order! Well done Roger! I’m so thankful we get to watch you play again and again!
Much could be said about the match itself, about the Rod Laver arena being covered today and not yesterday (for the Women Singles Final) yet I choose to focus on the fashion moment: what Roger Federer wore on court for his big win – I’m sure you noticed something different if you have an eye for style -_^ !

My dear friends, how I’ve missed you! Today of all days it’s dreary raining and I’m listening to some thirties swing, sipping on a cup of latte, thinking about how I missed writing and babbling about every little fashion thing with you! With October starting up, I decided it was time to get back on the style track and, maybe, get you all to share with me what you have been doing all summer long and how you prepared for the fall style. And more!
Before I got to actually finish this story, October is almost ending! My, oh my, how time goes by! Let’s get back to fashion before we get to the wintery all hiding parkas and snow boots!

I’m always preaching about not falling for the seasonal trends the fashion designers have educated us to follow religiously. I’m also highlighting the overwhelmingly liberating power of discovering and building one’s personal individual style above all said seasonal trends.
And I’m always curious -_^ did you find your style voice? What’s it saying? Does it say anything about vests and waistcoats? Because – believe it or not – the designers have set their mind on vests this Spring Summer 2017 season, it would be a fashionable time to bring them out of your closet!

There’s a general consensus about who gets an Oscar and why – it all seems to point towards politics. Yet we’re still watching, breathlessly, the glamorous Red Carpet parade that night. And then we talk about the dresses. And the hair. And the makeup. And the shoes. Less about the politics of the mighty Oscars…
And everyone loves a good dress -_^ . Bluntly, my favorite was Janelle Monae (deja – vu, much?) who was spectacularly Marie Antoinette in Elie Saab Couture.

Yes, a lot has happened since, yet I have to talk about the wonderful fashion things that happened on the 2017 Screen Actors Guild Awards Red Carpet!
As I was saying earlier, we live in troubled times and the very privileged position I have, as a humble observer, allows me to focus on all the changes in the world’s wardrobes. On and off the Red Carpet. Feeling doubtful about the reflection of the political life in fashion? Scroll down to see what I’m talking about!

January is already history and some of us might still struggle with the New Year Resolutions list (executive orders seem to help -_^) yet the Haute Couture season is a happy, hopeful sight for sorrowed eyes!
Literally! The fabrics and trimmings seen on the Couture catwalks are made of illustrators dreams! Sewn not drew, the sartorial canvas is a dream to watch and to wear. I couldn’t wait for all the collections to be released, I had to share what I think is an Illustrator’s Dream in Haute Couture: the Spring Summer 2017 HC season!

The 2017 edition of the People’s Choice Awards happened. And over 250 Million people voted their favorite performers so it would be safe to say that this was a sort of Hollywood’s democratically voted awards meant to illustrate the love and appreciation of the viewers for the shows and movies created in Hollywood this year.
With that in mind, People’s Choice was Ellen DeGeneres 20 times (17 up to this edition and 3 more this year), making her the most PC awarded person in history. And she only plays herself – that should send a message (perhaps the one wrote on her jacket? ‘love’ ).
